Manchester based web development agency CTI has embraced the spirit of the World Cup by holding an unusual sweepstake that has resulted in a draw between the Swiss and the Mexicans.
Ditching the traditional sweepstake, the CTI team was challenged to decorate their desks in the theme of their selected nation. The best entry, and the first runner up, was to be rewarded with an iPad.
Manchester Digital has elected its new council
Local digital industry support body Manchester Digital has elected its new council members for the coming year.
Four new candidates made the final list with CTI's Nick Rhind, Phillip Jeffs from Fudge, Rajesh Joshi and DMC's Tim Dobson winning through.

CTI creates charity website for Fundraising Football
Manchester's CTI Digital has donated its time to build a site for the Fundraising Football initiative, which aims to raise £45k for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity.
The charity event will see 12 teams of football fans taking over Blackburn Rovers' Ewood Park stadium on 16 May - playing games on the pitch, using all the stadium facilities and dressing rooms and ending the day with a gala dinner.
In return each team pledges to raise a minimum of £3750 for the worthy cause.
CTI joins Beaverbrooks
CTI has been appointed as the digital technical agency for high street jeweller, Beaverbrooks, following a 4-way competitive pitch. CTI Join Code who have been appointed as the design agency for the project and CTI will be working closely with them.
CTI will be responsible for the build of a new e-commerce site for Beaverbrooks, which is due to go live in September, to take advantage of the Christmas rush. CTI have been appointed to develop a unique system for Beaverbrooks to provide the flexibility and integration which the team at Beaverbrooks required and appointed agencies.
