Meet the CTI Digital Team

Nick

Nick Rhind has been working in the digital arena for the last 12 years and has delivered hundreds of digital projects for SMEs and Blue-chip companies which have earned him a reputation as a digital expert. Nick has worked with the likes of Intel, Beaverbrooks, BBC, TNT, Co-Op and Setanta Insurance, as well as with numerous Design, Advertising and Marketing agencies as a consultant. As specialists in digital technology, CTI aim to remain the best at what they do. They have an outstanding reputation in providing cutting-edge, bespoke solutions.

Nick has been instrumental in the planning of web applications and large online sites, including e-commerce to automate clients' business online and to bring an increased return on investment. Nick will sit down, listen, analyse and then create a strategy that is most appropriate to your individual needs - we refuse to simply sell you generic packages. Nick is passionate about building stable and robust platforms which can be built upon and expanded over several years. Working in Open Source technologies helps to achieve this.

Nick is well versed in different project methodologies. Nick is Prince2 qualified and uses his own tailored version of Prince2. He also uses the Agile and SCRUM methodologies and will select the best one to suit your solution and mitigate risk throughout the process.

Nick is a keen technology fan and frequently invests in technologies and gadgets to push what he can do. Nick is very active on the social media scene and is a regular attendee of digital based events in which he is often talking at or supporting. If he's not immersed in the World of tech he is spending time with his family. Recently, he has been working on their new family home - a previously derelict period property which he is developing back in to its former glory - whilst trying to keep an eye on his young son who loves trying to help.

Adam

Adam has experience in J2EE aswell as having great knowledge of the Drupal php built cms. Adam likes to keep up to date with the latest technologies and standards trying to implement them into CTI's daily life.

Alison

Ali joined CTI in 2008 as a HTML/CSS developer and a designer. She has since expanded her skills into the field of PHP and begun creating Drupal and Magento eCommerce websites.

Ali recently moved desks and now sits next to Mike Thomas. It is a daily battle to get work done here, with Mike constantly sending photos of cute baby animals and pushing the rubbish/general debris on his desk onto her neighbouring one. Somehow, she still manages to work hard and deliver projects on time and to a high standard.

She is the only Manchester City fan in the office, and is reminded of it almost daily by her predominantly "red" colleagues.

Suresh

Suresh continues to amaze his colleagues with his visually stunning and interactive flash work. His expertise in this domain has been instrumental in the growth of CTI's design work.

Courtney

Courtney is a specialist in PHP and ASP .NET and thanks to this he has been a part of some of our leading projects. Having been with the company for 5 years, Courtney has developed his skills and is a valued team member.

Rick

Leader, Visionary, Messiah: all words that apply, but not to Rick. Raised by wolves on a remote Siberian naval outpost, Rick stowed away at the age of 10 and braved demonically rough seas for a hundred nights. When the vessel finally dropped anchor just off the coast of England Island, he swam ashore and wandered the streets of Manchester for months, penniless and destitute, until Mother CTI took him under its caring wing. Rapidly ascending the ranks from humble tea boy to computer button pusher, Rick’s developer trophy cabinet remains destitute following a stunning run of ineptitude which has seen him collect no major accolades whatsoever. Nevertheless, he dreams of the day when he will step foot into the ring at the annual Ultimate Developer Championships and spill blood in the name of jQuery.

A marvellous dream, a fantastic dream; but a dream nonetheless.

Andrew

Andrew Dean has been a part of CTI DIGITAL since the very beginning. He has played a big part in the brands evolution thanks to his knowledge and expertise in multiple subjects. He is a specialist in Java and PHP and has vast experience with some of our higher profile clients and projects.

Andy is also an artist, his most recent series of work named "Revolution in Evolution" has been auctioned across the pond with his most famous piece "Rolleshark at Leisure" fetching an impressive £6!

Darren

Darren has been a part of the growth of the management team at CTI. Since joining the company Darren has been instrumental in improving the process at CTI, which now means that we communicate well with clients and manage developers work levels far better.

Bill

Bill has a background in web and GUI development in Python as well as a degree in Computer Games Design. He has found his way back to his PHP roots and is currently developing Drupal websites.

Mike

Mike loves the internet, because of this he likes to spend the vast majority of his time adding to it. Whilst at CTI, Mike has been taught to wield some powerful web-tools - such as Drupal & Magento. As CTI's eCommerce expert, he has been responsible for overseeing the development of the myriad of CTI's eCommerce solutions. Sales nonsense aside, he is a massive fan of internet humour and general geekery.

Andy

Nick's wife Elaine is CTI Digital's Account Manager and plays an important role in keeping CTI organised!

Ryan

Ryan has added his wealth of experience to CTI. Having worked as a project manager for high profile companies such as Amaze & Code Computerlove, Ryan's appointment reflects CTI's ambition to keep growing, to work with reputed clients and to deliver great customer service.

Gregory

A new addition to the team, Gregory is an expert PHP developer and is now a part of the strong Zend Framework at CTI. His addition comes during an exciting growth period for the company.

Greg's current interests

Greg is a keen musician and is currently learning to produce music. He is currently involved in an experimental project and has a particular passion for Jazz and Rock.

Greg also loves movies, the weirder the better! He likes movies by Ingmar Bergman, Nicholas Roeg, Hal Hartley and David Lynch. He does like some normal stuff too though!

Mark

Jamie

Jamie joined the CTI team as a Business Analyst in May 2010. He joined the New Business team bringing with him his experience of business requirements capture, business model generation and public sector consultancy.

Jamie likes to work hard and play hard and can often be found out around the Northern Quarter, 'networking'.

James

James joined CTI in June 2010 and primarily develops Drupal websites picking up new skills as he goes. In his spare time James enjoys watching football, supporting Manchester City.

He has never seen Back to the Future and as a result of this has been alienated by his colleagues.

Geoff

Geoff is a developer experienced in PHP and Zend Framework, along with experience in internet marketing, a multitude of e-commerce and CMS platforms and producing specialised information tools. He loves playing around with all the latest tools and technology to produce intuitive, useful and truly marvellous things.

Grace

Grace is a new apprentice in the CTI team and works in the administration and accounts department alongside Elaine. She hopes to improve the companies organisation.

Kat

Kat is a PHP Developer who likes to tinker with related technologies.

Kat also likes to dabble with Javascript and jQuery.

When not at work, you can find Kat messing about with games; from console to table top, enjoying a movie or nose deep in a Graphic novel.

John

John is a digitial marketing consultant with over 4 years experience in SEO, social media and pay per click advertising. John is a relatively new fixture at staff at CTI and was brought in to ease the expansion of CTI's online marketing offerings.

John's hobbies include drumming, kayaking, cycling, reading, golf and the great outdoors. John is also CTI's most skilled pool player.

Matt

Matt is one of the newest additions to the team and takes care of the front-end development, translating beautiful designs into functional web applications. He enjoys designing and developing websites using Photoshop, semantic XHTML & CSS, and of course JavaScript.

He's interested in:
