For those of you who didn't know, 2 years ago, our office was based on Dale Street where the well publicised Manchester Northern Quarter fire took place. The fire started on the opposite side of the road on 30th April 2007 but unfortunately the wind blew the flames over to CTI's office on Dale Street.
When recounting the tale of his attempt to limit the potentially sizeable damage to his company, our Managing Director, Nick Rhind explained: "Once granted permission by the fire brigade, I literally got a group of 10-15 friends together and we went into the building to retrieve anything we could. So we all just ran in and came out with PCs, monitors, servers... it was surreal!".
Refusing to let this event dent ambitions, Nick (who was recently listed in Insider Magazines Top 42 Under 42 Entrepreneurs) took his specialist web development team and the remainder of their equipment to a temporary office on Blackfriars Road on the edge of Salford. Since then, our dynamic organisation has gone from strength to strength and with further developers joining the company, CTI's growing team is now stepping things up a notch.
This is why our team which specialises in delivering enterprise level e-solutions (content management, e-commerce, SaaS, bespoke software development...) has moved back to its true home in the cities most vibrant and creative area, Newton Street in the Northern Quarter. This part of town is known for its cool bars, trendy restaurants, independent record labels, clothes designers and now one of the North West's leading web development, Magento, Drupal, PHP, Grails and technology experts CTI.
With the aim of innovating, creating and being the digital backbone of Manchester, the Northern Quarter is the only place to be for CTI.
